Both Parties express the willingness to actively promote Jiangnan Technology in the United States
On March 16, 2018, Mr. Xu Junsheng, Chairman of Jiangnan Environmental Protection Group, visited the U.S. Department of Energy accompanied by Neil Bush, Board of Directors. Mr. Steven Winberg, Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy, under the entrustment of Mr. Rick Perry, U.S. Secretary of Energy, and Senior Advisor to the Department of Energy, Director of the Fossil Energy Office, and Director of the Department of Energy for Asian and International Affairs attended the meeting.
Chairman Xu first introduced the Jiangnan’s ammonia-based desulfurization technology, and how it could help coal-fired power plants to significantly reduce the operational cost while reducing emissions of atmospheric pollutants. Mr. Winberg expressed great interest in Jiangnan’s environmental protection technology and asked many questions regarding the technology and business model of ammonia-based desulfurization. He believed that Jiangnan’s technology is in line with the U.S. government’s strategy of promoting the coal industry and would also actively promote the development of coal-fired power plants.
Mr. Winberg appointed the senior advisor to keep in touch with Jiangnan Environmental Technology Inc. (JET) and said that they would arrange experts from the U.S. Department of Energy and power companies to visit China in order to learn about the application and promotion of Jiangnan’s ammonia-based desulfurization technology in China.
