EADS meets the most stringent air quality regulations in the world at significantly lower lifecycle cost than conventional FGD systems. The EADS generates no wastewater or solid waste streams, while generating a saleable ammonium sulfate fertilizer by-product. The EADS also does not require the addition of water treatment chemicals, such as soda ash or lime used in conventional FGD wastewater treatment. This reduces the operating and environmental compliance costs of the EADS.
