| On August 28, 2019, Chairman Xu of JNG was invited by the Minister of Oil of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Sheik Mohamed Al-Khalifa, to a dinner meeting held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Manama, Bahrain. The minister especially invited Dr. Dawood Nassif, Chairman of BAPCO (The Bahrain Petroleum Company), former BAPCO CEO Mr. Faisal Al Mahroos, Taweer Petroleum CEO Mr. James Eastlack and BAPCO GM of Engineering Mr. Gaetano De Santis to the event for detailed exchanges on the potential cooperation between JNG and the petrochemical industry in Bahrain.
The Minister extended his warm welcome to Chairman Xu and thanked him for visiting Bahrain with the JNG delegation. He mentioned that the government is extremely interested in revolutionary technologies– ones like JNG’s– that reduce pollution and bolster corporate competitiveness, as plans are place for Bahrain to tighten its environmental standards in the near future. Chairman Xu introduced JNG’s history and its future plans, the advantages of ammonia-based desulfurization technology and the company’s installations to the Minister and the executives at the event, emphasizing how the company’s technology could help Bahrain achieve its ambitious goal of cleaner use of fossil fuels and make its industry more competitive. During the event, BAPCO GM of Engineering Mr. Gaetano De Santis said that upon familiarizing himself with JNG’s technology, he is greatly impressed by the revolutionary advantages that it brings and sees great potential for ammonia-based desulfurization in Bahrain. As the next step, he will be working with JNG’s technical team to make substantive progress on specific projects in the Kingdom.
