On November 17th,2017, Mr. Narender Singh, Director of Global Design and Engineering Department of AES Power Company, visited JET’s ultra-low emission project at Wanhua Chemical (Ningbo) Thermal Power Co., Ltd, and met Ms. Luo, Jing, President of JET and Mr. Narender Singh, discussing the cooperation between the two parties on a global scale.
The AES Corporation, a Fortune 200 global power company with a total 37 GW of generating capacity, owns and manages a total $ 36 billion assets, and provides sustainable energy to 17 countries. AES is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, USA and owns and manages power plants in various regions and countries including the United States, India, Northern Ireland, the Czech Republic, Argentina, and Chile. After visited the project site, Mr. Singh said he was convinced of JET’s ammonia desulfurization technology. He recognized that JET’s 4th generation technology can meet the ultra-low emission requirements with less investment and operating costs, while converting pollutant SO2 to high-value ammonium sulfate fertilizer without producing waste water, waste residue, and exhaust gas.
In India market, as a new market for desulfurization, it can not only save investment and operational costs by implementing JET’s ammonia-based desulfurization technology but also can easily meet more stringent emission standards in the future. For the US market, the price of ammonium sulfate is higher than in other countries; Ammonia-based desulfurization unit can not only meet the most stringent emission standards but also can make a profit. In addition, the United States requires zero discharge of desulfurization wastewater, the high construction and operation costs made a lot of power plants at risk of shutting down. However, JET’s ammonia-based desulfurization technology does not discharge wastewater and secondary pollution and is a truly green desulfurization technology. After learning of these advantages, Mr. Singh expressed his hope that JET’s ammonia-based desulfurization technology can be applied at AES’s various plants worldwide.
At last, Mr. Singh invited JET to visit AES US headquarter in the hope of promoting the application of JET’s ammonia desulfurization technology at AES Corporation’s power plants worldwide.
