On August 26th, 2019, Chairman Xu of JNG met with Mr. Waleed Al-Bader, CEO of KNPC. The former CEO, Mr. Farouk Al Zanki, also attended the meeting. Both sides exchanged corporate information and explored cooperation possibilities, among other things.
Mr. Waleed first extended warm welcome to Chairman Xu’s visit. He expressed his concerns that KNPC was modernizing its production equipment step by step, but the refining and chemical industry as well as the power industry was in bad need of mature and reliable desulfurization technology. He further pointed out that the lower stream of KNPC was currently faced with two major problems: the processing and the sale of sulfur, and the emission benchmark of SO2 in tail gas from stacks. Chairman Xu gave a brief introduction of the development and technological advantages of JNG. Over the past twenty years, more than 300 sets of desulfurization technology have been applied to and operated in multiple areas. JNG’s desulfurization technology is highly developed and is capable of producing ammonium sulfate fertilizers as a byproduct of high added value. Therefore, JNG’s environmentally-friendly technology can offer practical solutions to the two problems of KNPC. Both sides reached a consensus on furthering the cooperation in terms of desulfurization. Mr. Waleed expected the project to be implemented and the cooperation enhanced as soon as possible, in a hope to fueling KNPC’s green development with JNG’s solutions. |
